MOBIUS: Research and Development Study

Date: 12th November 2025: As part of our ongoing Research and Development (R&D) efforts, the Mobius Young Professionals (MYPs), accompanied by the Enforcement Officer, conducted a field visit to Rongkhon Songgital, a major waste dumping zone located below the P.A. Sangma Stadium in Tura.

The visit aimed to gain a deeper understanding of the waste management and decomposition processes currently practiced at the site. During the observation, the team learned about the daily collection volume of waste and the methods used for decomposition and processing.

This on-ground exposure provided valuable insights into the scale of urban waste management challenges and highlighted opportunities for developing more sustainable and efficient waste management solutions in the future. The MYP team expressed appreciation for the cooperation extended by the Tura Municipal authorities and looks forward to building on this experience to strengthen their research initiatives in environmental management.
