BAKDIL Inaugurates LEDP Training on Piggery and Poultry Farming at Baghmara

On 13 October 2026, BAKDIL successfully organised the inauguration programme of the Livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP) on Piggery and Poultry Training at Baghmara, with support from NABARD.

The programme commenced with a welcome and introductory speech by the Team Leader, followed by an address by Sir A. Blah, District Development Manager (DDM), NABARD, who highlighted the importance of LEDP in promoting sustainable livelihoods and strengthening rural income generation.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Nokman, District A. H. & Veterinary Officer, emphasised the importance of scientific livestock management, improved farming practices, and proper care of livestock to enhance productivity and support sustainable farming.

The programme concluded with a candle-lighting ceremony, formally marking the commencement of the training initiative. More than 60 Self-Help Group (SHG) members participated in the programme, reflecting their enthusiasm for developing livelihood opportunities through piggery and poultry farming.

Through this initiative, BAKDIL, with the support of NABARD, aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of rural communities, encourage entrepreneurship, and promote sustainable livelihood opportunities for improved income generation.
