Bakdil implemented Gram Seva Project funded by SBI Foundation organized SBI Ojas Youth Talent hunt singing and bamboo crafting competition at Dadenggre Bakdil Training centre on Saturday, 27 November 2021.
This competition was organised with the objective to provide assistance as scholarships under the Rural talent scholarship in the project for the youth with talent. Few months back the project also assisted three women footballers and two crafters under the SBI Ojas Rural Talent Scholarship.
More than 21 aspiring artists participated in the competition from five adopted villages under the project.
Shri Bilkam B Sangma performed his original song emotionally written for his father got the first prize cheque of Rs. 10000 and Miss Rangira M Marak positioning at second received a cheque of Rs. 5000.
The contestants of Bamboo craft were made to make creative designs from bamboo. Five contestants use their skills to make beautiful design of tree house, kit box, kokreng and wall sticker.
Two of the contestants Mr Kilipson M Sangma and Samson M Sangma secured first and second position for their crafts. They were awarded a cheque of Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 respectively.
