BAKDIL through the implementation of the Gram Seva project has adopted 5 villages under the Dadenggre block to develop and upgrade the villages in various sectors.
A healthcare facility is one of the major components of the project. A mobile medical van and an ambulance have also been procured under the project.
In August, the project organized medical health camps in three villages namely Aigre Songgitcham, Rongdupara, and kantananggre in collaboration with the Dadenggre CHC and ICDS, Department of Social Welfare.
Dr. Dimpy Marak, a medical officer from Dadenggre CHC conducted free health checkups for children and adults. She also gave health talks on the importance of infant immunization, regular antenatal check-ups, and institutional delivery.
In villages, most parents don’t want to vaccinate their children saying their children get sick right after the immunization. Little do they know that their babies are getting vaccinated against various fatal diseases which do not have treatment.
CDPO spoke on proper nutrition for children and mothers. She also urged the parents to send their children to Anganwadi centers where they supply nutritious food for children and mothers.
A total of 163 children and adults participated in the health camps in three villages.
